When I first started photography I was second guessed by everyone I knew, and also myself. I was barely in my 20’s with a full time national guard job, and some serious ADHD lol!
I’m not sure what struct me to buy a camera or even want to try photography but I’m so very glad the path took me where it did.
I eventually became so busy in my photography business I decided to get it registered and become 100% legal. Getting my business license was my first scary step, which kept leading me to bigger and scarier steps in my career.
Today I photographed a mom who was carrying her second baby. Not just any mom, but she was my first ever maternity session. I traveled all the way to Point Pleasant WV from St.Albans WV for free. I was eager and ready to gain experience. Looking back at those photos I want to cover my eyes, but even to this day Haley is so grateful for them.
I needed a model in the studio so I could practice different lighting techniques on a solid white backdrop. She was a day short from being 38 weeks pregnant and I thought to myself, she would be perfect.
She is even more grateful than ever for an amazing experience and product. But I am just as grateful for her being able to accommodate my last minute request.
