A Charleston WV Newborn Photography Studio
As a Charleston WV Newborn Photographer, I am proud to say I am so happy to serve my services with my community. Timber N Twine Photography has came a long ways in the last year of its journey. My first ever studio serves me so well in the city of St. Albans where I used to live. I started off with just a small office space that was a little dingy and needed some TLC. I was finally starting to get a feel of the small business owner world, meeting new clients and having a space to keep my props, but before I had a space to call my own I had to start in my house. That was just as painful as it sounds, constantly moving all my props and gear into the attic and back down, taking it apart and setting up each time. I hated it, so I attempted to be a traveling photographer. Very quickly I found myself struggling even more. I had to do everything I was doing before, and more by taking extra steps to get things fitted in my car and into client’s home. I attempted lifestyle newborn photography in the Charleston WV area as well, but had to stop. Being a motherhood, birth, and infant Photographer has really changed my world. There’s nothing I could appreciate more than a mothers power, and being able to capture it all. Infant photos are something we dont think about as often as we should, but the first few weeks of your baby’s life will absolutely fly by.
I made an impulsive leap by moving studios. I went from my small photography studio I was sharing with someone (I forgot to mention) to my own (also very small studio) in Hurricane WV. Things were looking a little more serious for me. That was also around the time I decided to get my business license and become a Limited Liability Company. I was officially Timber N Twine Photography LLC. I attempted to just specialize in Maternity Photography, Newborn Photography, and Wedding Photography in the Charleston WV and Hurricane WV area. I finally had a photography studio that I could call my own, despite how small it was still. Eventually I was comfortable booking client’s sessions in my studio without embarrassment. After my lease was close to finished there, I started looking to expand. I searched almost daily for potential studio areas in Charleston WV. I knew I needed to start taking my business even more serious when I sat down one day to do reports. The day I realized I was making more than minimum wage is when I said “wow, if I kept focusing on my business I could seriously go big and support myself”.
I spent hundred of dollars on Photography education. How to become better, how to be and stay successful, and how to be professional in all spectrums. I eventually found a beautiful 1,200 square foot building back in the heart of St.Albans. Boy was I absolutely stokes, and still am! I finally have plenty of area for my clients. I can’t wait to get settled in. I plan to have an area where children can play, a mini fridge with welcoming drinks, and a snack bar for parents patiently waiting. I can’t wait to be finished so I can provide the most luxurious and profession experience as a Charleston WV Newborn Photographer.
